Access to fresh, sea water is critical to rearing a healthy smolt. Our saltwater well at Gold River gives us an abundance of fresh salt water so we can treat our fish with natural seawater baths.

We recirculate most of our water so we aren't wasting this precious resource that some may take for granted.

We patiently watch and wait until our fish are truly ready to go to our ocean sites. This takes more time and costs more but a larger smolt means higher end quality with no artificial treatment. And every baby salmon is vaccinated by hand to ensure complete health before being released into the sea for the final years of its life.
